I Started work at CPL was with the expectation of high standards. This was as a result of the induction programme conducted for each new hire where beyond being told about the organisation, we were taken through modules on Presentation skills, how to speak and sound right, table manners, Client etiquette, telephone answering skills and a host of so many other trainings that are applicable not only to the organization, but also the individual. What a rewarding experience!
Once out of the straightening room, and into the office, you see I met CPL people, all friendly, yet professional. Employees speak with one another on a first name basis. Immediately, you feel at ease. You are told how exactly your performance is measured and what your career path is. An immediate sense of belonging and willingness to put in all you can is created in you and keeps you going.
On the job, punctuality is a hallmark; Following, which you have speed in delivery. Finally, you are not put under any pressure you cannot handle. When you have a job to deliver, you will have all you need to deliver the job and immediately get a pat on the back for a job well done!
It is an experience any one should have, a feeling of contentment and fulfillment.

In 2002/3, I attended a program for youth corpers (Venture In Management Training) at the Lagos Business School. This awakened a desire to work in a structured and professional practice that focused on solving business challenges. I wasn’t just looking for a paper-churning firm, but a hands-on one! One of the organizers of the corpers program mentioned a compact, professional firm called Capital Partners which focused on strategic solutions for the Financial Services Industry. It sounded just like what I was looking for, so I sent in my resume. I got selected! I was delighted! Soon after, I started as an Assistant Analyst in the Business Advisory Services unit and have quickly progressed to become an Associate and a Team Lead for various engagements.
Working at Capital Partners has been an amazing experience. Not only am I working on diverse projects solving business challenges ranging from: quality of people and business systems to retail initiatives, performance management, financial advisory and profit improvement; I am also working with smart, approachable people who genuinely care about developing your skills and career. I have been with the firm for about 4 years and from the start I was able to approach ANYONE within the organisation to ask questions, learn and improve on my skills. When I think of who I was before I joined the firm and who I’ve become I realise that I have improved a great deal. And the best part is my career development is just beginning!

In 2004, I attended a forum organized by MTN Nigeria Communications Limited at firm’s Ikoyi office. At the forum, I was convinced I exhibited an excellent performance giving a good account of my knowledge of sales and distribution of Telecommunication products. I actually noticed two gentlemen who stood out in the audience. I really admired them but I never had the opportunity to have a word with them on that day because, I had to hurriedly leave the forum to attend to a client.
However, to my amazement the gentlemen made attempts to reach me too. The gentlemen left their contact details with my former employers’ Trade Marketer at MTN who eventually introduced the gentlemen to me. He gave the name of their firm as Capital Partners Limited, a consulting firm with interest in Telecommunications. I was curious to meet these men again.
I later visited the CPL office and I liked what I saw and said to my self if given an opportunity I would like to join the firm. Fortunately, after series of interviews, I was successful and made an offer which I accepted. I joined Capital Partners Limited on August 15 2005.
Working at Capital Partners has been a challenging, as well as life transforming experience.
Capital Partners is comprised of a team of , dynamic and versatile professionals with a visionary leader at the helm of affairs. I have learnt the value of self worth and time management. The work environment is built around teamwork toward achieving our common goals. My experience in Capital partners has helped me discover my hidden potentials. I enjoy the cordial working relationship that exists between management and peers.
